Bilstein 5100 2.5" front and daystar 2" spacer rear, on stock springs. Good?Bad?Ugly?

Compiling my lift... Tried searching for pics or similar build specs but couldn't sift through all of it.

So far I have bilstein 5100s coming for the front and rear to replace my XREAS

I also ordered Daystar 2" rear spacers.

I am planning on setting the fronts to 2.5"

Probably going to order UCAs too.

Does anyone have a pic of this setup? or can anyone give an idea as to what the rake may look like? I am not looking to level the wheel wells, I'd like to keep some rake. Hoping for relatively level running boards. Thanks in advance!

Vehicle is 2004 v6 4wd w/ stock Xreas

You will have a nice rake.

I am running 2017 tacoma front coils and struts with a 1.5" spacer. In the rear I'm stock with a 2.5" spacer. The rake is really pronounced since I have an arb on the front and should go down in the rear when fulyl loaded.

If you don't have a big bumper then it should look appropriate and not extreme.

my pics are 5100 w/ FJ coils up front on top notch, so around 2.5-3" and rear was 1.5 daystars w/ FJ coils for around 2" rear. Just removed the 1.5's in rear and went back to a 10mm spacer, sits dead level now, but rides smoother. Planning to lower the front's a notch as well soon and then start trimming and molding anything that rubs

I'm running close to that setup. Bilstein 5100's all around, stock springs, 1.5" Daystar spacers in the back. The Bilsteins are set at the highest setting up front. Running 285/70/17 tires. Attached a photo of my setup.

Sweet! Thank you. Your rig looks great. I just ordered the toytec/eibach 2.5" springs for the front in a hope to save from being too stiff. How do you feel about yours on the 2.5 perch with stock springs as far as ride quality goes?

No worries, and thank you. I am quite impressed by the ride quality. I don't do anything that requires excessive amounts of flex/articulation while I'm out messing around in the woods, so I can't say how it performs in extreme conditions, but for every day use and BLM roads, the ride quality is top notch (pun intended). I may eventually purchase new springs, just because I've read that it's the way to go versus using spacers.

As a side note, I just aired my KO2's up from ~32PSI to 39 front 37 rear and she still has nice ride quality.

I'm about to invest in this setup; 5100s with the FJ coils. How necessary is the 10mm spacers in the back? I'm not planning on going with 33's or anything for now. What setting would i have to set the front to get zero rake without the rear spacer? Also, how would you describe the way it drives in the city? Thanks!!!

delay i know, but I'm about to order 20-25mm spacers as the rear sags with just the 10mm and having the front struts on the top notch. Might go with a 20mm on the left and 10mm on the right since I have a slight lean. If you don't go on the top notch up front and have no weight in the rear the spacers might not be needed.

I'm about to install the same setup, currently debating between 1.75 or 2.5 on the front. Did you need to install aftermarket UCAs with yours or did they do fine without?

My Wildpeak265/70r17s rubbed on the mud flaps on sharp turns in parking lots.. Due to caster being off. UCAs would fix this. But I took the flaps off and it took care of the rubbing. May do uppers this spring.

I ended up with bilstein 5100s and toytec 2.5" springs up front... 2" daystar rear spacer.

Wildpeak at3w 265/70r17 on TRD 17x7 wheels. With even larger tires I'd expect some rubbing if you still have mud flaps. Easy enough to take em off though....

Did you use the adjustable 5100s in the front ?

To my knowledge all of the 5100s are adjustable up front. But I set it on the lowest perch and let the spring do the lifting.

I put them on our 4runner that I am fixing up for my sons first vehicle.
I have them at lowest setting and its way up in the air using the old springs.
I bought a Bilstein lifts kit with the rear shocks and springs. Cant figure out what went wrong and haven't heard back from them yet.
Need 15 posts to start a new thread about it.
Still cant upload pics of it either I guess.

I think I was reading a thread on some forum where someone accidentally got tundra 5100s and that happened, you might want to double check the part numbers.

Bilstein 5100 2.5" front and daystar 2" spacer rear, on stock springs. Good?Bad?Ugly?
