‘99 5-Speed 5VZ-FE 4WD
I was driving home tonight and when I hit big bumps I heard a noise that sounded a little like when you flick the shifter back and forth to make sure it’s in neutral. (I almost imagine it sounds like a ball rattling in a socket but I’m not super confident about that).
I was in 3rd gear and I noticed that it seems to have a lot of lateral play when it’s in 3rd. I’m wondering if the two things are related.
Here are two videos. The first is while driving in 3rd where you can barely hear the noise. The 2nd shows all the movement when in 3rd. I’m gonna try to capture the noise better tomorrow.
