Yeah, i take it off-road. The 4runner is a perfect combination of size (narrow enough), wheel articulation (rear axle), reliability (doesn't leave you stranded), and power. Haven't off-roaded much for the past 2 months though. I used to off-road with my brother, who has a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.

awesome, i love it when people with a 4x4, suv, take it wheelin, i know that mine is not a soccer kid, grocery getting, mall hopping suv, lol infact, as soon as everyone here gets ready, we are gonna go wheeling, man do they take for ever to get ready, lol.

Yup, i don't usually fly thru mud holes unless there's a chance that i may get stuck. I like to climb over things, using my low range and ATRAC...I actually look forward to hearing those clattering sounds that ATRAC makes when shifting power from one wheel to the next!:gaptooth:
The running boards also help deflect some mud. Of course, they also hinder sometimes when crawling over rocks. I have a few big scratches on the underside of my running boards...i am just glad that they are not bent yet.
