Show me your rear tire carriers!!

Hey guys,

I'm thinking of doing a rear tire carrier for my 4Runner and was wondering if you could post some pics of your setups??

Ok these will do for now, It is currently off and I am adding some bracing and possibly a Hi-Lift Jack mount then final grinding and some paint.

Does this set up interfere with the rear hatch?

No it does not, I would not have designed it that way. Obviously you have to swing it out in order to open the hatch though.

this is mine, costs me about $45 of scrap material and lighting, 50 some hours of labor, lots of drawing, cutting, grinding and bit of welding. it's an universal, it doesn't meter what kind of vehicle as long as it has a 2" receiver, no problem with either tailgate or lift gate.

Thank you. I am moving this weekend but still hope to take a break and spend the last couple hours to finish all the trim pieces so it is finished.

This one isnt mine, but one of my wheelin buddies, I really like how it looks on the 4runner.

A view of how it is secured to the reciever hitch.

And where the swinging points are.

I could probably dig up some more pictures if you want

I like this one, only wish he would have kept his stock bumpers. I'm going for a "better than stock" look. Like the factory should have built it like this..... So far the best one though!
