I have an unusual T4R I purchased used last June and I have found my truck (soul) mate.
It has every possible option I've ever seen on the descriptions of that year model.
4X4, locking rear differential, fully selectable 4WD (2H,4H,4HL,4LL),
roof rack, tow package, fog lights, daytime running lights, ABS,
leather interrior, color matched fender/bumpers and trim, hood scoop,
alloy wheels, bigger tires, anti-theft system,
sun/moon roof, digital climate control, 6 CD changer 6 speaker system,
cruise control, tilt steering wheel,
...probably more, but I just didn't know what was an option or not.
It did have 150k miles, but my mechanic friend told me "miles don't kill cars, people do" so I bought it anyway. I'm so glad I did. He checked it out for me and said, "This is a winner! Buy it!" I said "I just did!"
I bought it from the second owner who purchased it from a dealer. They told him the first owner custom ordered it and paid $47k for it new. 2nd owner bought it used for $25k. Finally, I (3rd and last owner) bought it last June for $7.5k.
It was love at first sight for me. It helped that he had just done major service including timing belt, water pump, new tires, new brakes, new battery, all hoses and belts, all fluids and filters, etc.
I have sinced used it to tow my boat (which it does with ease) and offroad serious mountain logging roads when bowhunting (it climbs like a mountain goat), as well as commuting to work (fun and a dream to drive). I already put 10k miles on it and the oil is still as clean as new. I did change the air filter which was full of dust from all the off roading I did august/september during California deer bowhunting season. I love the seats and the adjustability. The lumbar support really works well too. I'm getting 17 to 19 MPG unless I'm offroading (think I got 10MPG).
I can't see myself without a T4R in the forseeable future. I promise I will add pictures as soon as I can. It is a deep green. I was concerned that it might get too hot here in Southern California sun, but I have since fallen in love with the color. I have owned a lot of different vehicles, but I have finally found my truck-mate.
