I finally got my new Hanna Quality Rock Sliders on. I really like them a lot. Now all I have to do is put them to good use. Go to http://homepage.mac.com/ohairs/4Runner for more pics.

How much if you don't mind me asking? I remember when the group buy was going on and I didn't have any spare cash so I didn't participate, so I'm curious what the going rate is now...

)I notice there doesn't seem to be much clearance between the door and the sliders. Surely they must be engineered to take the full weight of the vehicle without bending enough to impede the door. Do they give the impression of being that strong to you?

Most of the pics on your site have a .bmp extension. Those are bitmaps. They're uncompressed and huge. Each one was almost 19 Megabytes. After I viewed them, I saved them as .jpg or JPEG files using this <a href="http://www.irfanview.com/" target="_blank">Irfanview</a> <br /> great free program. No noticeable difference in look, but almost 20 times smaller. No criticism, just info for you if you care. If you have any bandwidth restrictions or costs involved on your site, it may be handy info.
If you're so inclined, I'd be interested in a height measurement from ground to bottom of sliders.

I'd love to look at your homepage pictures but it takes way too long to download them (even with my cable connection). Compress them and let us know back on this thread.

Working on it. I went back and checked the files I uploaded and they do show as jpg files. But they are anywhere between 2 to 5 mb. Apparently too much.
Doesn't take quite that much time on my mac - maybe two or so seconds for the web page to fully fill up the screen. I am assuming you are on a pc - maybe part of the difference.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll try to compress the photos - web pages/photos should work well on both. I probably missed a step.

Ah the installation. Disclosure: I am pretty lame in the auto installation department. So keep that in mind.
I had Ken send me them in the mail as they are bolt ons. I took them over to my brothers - who is real handy - and we started.
On the right/passenger side we got the front hanger on right away. But the rear hanger just wouldn't line up with the holes in the bracket. It seemed it was off 1/8 of an inch. However, I also noticed that there was some messy factory welding on the frame that could have been in the way.
So then to the left side. This is a bit more tight due to the gas tank in the rear. Same as before. Front hangar went right on but the rear was the same issue. We struggled for about an hour and gave up.
I ultimately drove out to see Ken who was nice enough to help with the install. I joked to him that it was Murphy's law and that he would just pop them on.
Well, the right side pretty much just went on as advertised, of course. But the left side he experienced the same offset as I did. The hangars are so strong he had to bend the ends in with his bench vise and then he was able to get them on.
In looking at my particular vehicle. It is very important in the design that the hangars which look like staples that hang down on top of the frame fit snugly. This ensures no wiggle once they are tightened up. Also, there was a bit of extra frame welding melt in the area of the hangars. It only takes a little to push out the hangar an 1/8 as you slide it over.
He hadn't had this kind of issue with any other ones so I suspect it is my particular vehicle as opposed to fit and finish issues. Checking the hangars with the brackets before being installed everything lined up just right.
Also, my rear door tip edge just grazed the slider. So we snipped it off and coated it. Can't even tell. In looking at the overall design most if not all should not have this problem. Again this appears to be specific to mine due to working around frame welding melt.
Lastly, they were no problems with the brake lines or XREAS lines. The design allows the brackets to provide a space for them to run. In fact, the XREAS lines are why the design is different than the LC's.
They are rock solid. I like how they look. I would recommend them to anyone who is interested in off-roading.
