Well, it's not a 4runner, but, at least, it's still a Toyota...it runs real well (smooth and quiet ride) and is cheap to feed (30/38 mpg city/highway), unlike my other gas guzzler (<12/14.5 mpg).:) The main reason for me buying it is to save miles (thus, prolong life) on my gas guzzler.

Stats: 2005 Corolla LE, ABS, side-curtain airbags, 6-disc CD changer, cruise control, automatic tranny, tint, sound sealant, and PermaVIN. Total price (drive-out...everything included): $18,000 flat.:)

Toughest option to find: side-curtain airbags.

Congrats on the new Corolla! I'm really surprised at the quality of the interior on the new Corollas. Our '99 LE gets 36mpg easily. Good choice!
 
Very nice car! The Corolla's are nice and reliable. It may be a bit of an adjustment for you because it is a little smaller than your G-class! :p I was just wondering what the sound sealant is? Also, did you get the leather interior?

No other options except for what are listed above. I just wanted a comfortable and safe (but cheap) car. I drive at least 70 miles a day to work.

The "sound sealant" is part of one of those bullshit package (port-installed) to raise the price of the car. It is probably one of those "spray-on" sealant to the underside of your car. I doubt that it does anything but take more money out of your wallet.:(

The only complaint i have so far is the seating position. You sit with your arms stretch out (no matter how you adjust the seat). The car is in need of a tilt & telescoping steering wheel (it only tilts)...or it's built for people with short legs but very long arms.:D I figure that is how Toyota gets good crash testing scores out of the Corolla...forcing people to sit far away from the steering wheel.

Very true...I am now sure that i have a reliable back-up to my gas guzzler!:)

I feel ya brother...with the m5 and the m3 now gone, life is actually better without those two hunks of junk. although both were great in their own way, they just didnt do everything i needed. The m3 was really a disappointment for its reliability for its level of tuning and then the m5 was just a project that i let get to crazy and took a 90K shot in the ass for, just cause i wanted the braggin rights...and where did it get me? Into a toyota..
