What do think of this price quote?

Hey all, thanks for all the useful information. This forum has been very helpful for me in my decision to get a 4runner.

This weekend I plan to buy an '06 4runner 4x4 sport v6 with JBL 6 disc, spoiler, tow package, daytime running lights, homelink and carpet floormats. Black Brand new, I'm so freakin excited!

MSRP: $34,770
My Price: $ 29,400 (including $1K rebate)

I think the offer is great....what do you guys think? Has anyone gotten better for a similar setup? In so cal? If so where?

When I get it, I'll post some pics.

Also I want a 2-3 lift sometime this year. This is tough decision...I know it's discussed on this forum already. But does anybody have a great setup they would recommend.

I called about getting the donohoe coilovers up front and spacers(?) in the rear for about $1,700. I wish I had the resources to do the install myself but does this price sound reasonable? What are the advantages of the donahoe's over an OEM setup?

Great price.


If you want coilovers, you lose the X-REAS suspension front and rear. Only way to lift with X-REAS is spacers.

If you want coilovers, consider an SR5.

The SE does have some extra features like telescopic steering wheel and heated mirrors. If you can live without the telescopic wheel, get the SR5 and add heated mirrors. I think the mirrors can easily be done.
 
Well you can always take the xreas out and put ome.
the sr5 just look so cheap! i dont ever even acknowledge them on the road they are just so stripped down imo
 
Is that the out-the-door price? My 05 V8 2x4 Sport w/ JBL 6-disc and carpet floormats was only $27,500 .... MSRP was $33k something I believe. I think you could get them a little lower on that... unless the 06's are more expensive then the 05's were. If so, you may be about on target.

No it's not the out the door price...it's the price before tax & title.

The 2006 V6 does not come with the tow package standard which is $430.00 added plus it's not the hitch that's on the V8 and it does not come with a tranny cooler.

The v8 doesn't have a tranny cooler or is the v6 with tow hitch that doesn't have a tranny cooler?
 
That's going rate in suburban Chicago. 4Runners are sitting around all of the big lots right now, with more coming every day.
