Very encouraging news. Its always nice when the guy doing the test compliments your engine and says to run the oil for 6000 miles.
May I ask what kind of conditions you normally drive? Highway, City, dusty, hazy?? Also, how would you rate your driving style?

Mobil 1 since 5k, Changed every 5k there after. Fram TG3614 to start with until about 3 or 4 changes ago I got a case of the V-8 Toyota filters. I have always used the standard Mobil 1 5w30. No Extended life. With the change at 50k I changed to the SUV & Truck Mobil 1 5w30. it was the same price as the standard M1 for the 5 quart jug at wally world. The first year and a half I lived in Eastern NC (about 1.5 hrs from the coast) with heat into the 95-105 degree range often during the summer. Very hazy in the late summer to early fall. It does not get all that cold here in the winter. Used to live in MI so NC is pretty nice even in the winter. It was driven a mix of city and back country roads during that same time frame. Very limited interstate. 1 Round trip to MI from NC. A few trips from one side of the state to the other. Towed with only a hand full of times when I moved in Aug of 05. No more than 100 miles at a time.
Since I live in Raleigh my or my wifes drive is only 22-23 miles each way mostly interstate with some traffic, speeds of anywhere between 35-85mph. Some blast up to 100. I am harder on the Runner than she is. Hard on the gas hard on the brakes. We swap vehicles about 60/40. Me 60%. She really likes The 4Runner too. We plan to buy a second in the next 2 years and dump the 05 camry. V-8 SE 4x4 this time.
K&N air filters or FIPK since 15k miles. There must not be much negative to them or my wear numbers would not look so good.

This is a typical UOA for the 4.0 (and the 4.7), which shows that with the right oil you can SAFELY run extended drain intervals. With the use of several extended synthetic oils you could safely run it for a year regardless of the miles using UOAs, without voiding the warranty.

I ran my Isuzu Trooper for several years changing only the oil filter and occasionally topping up the Mobil 1. Oil analysis was always good.
