Do you have a cover over your gas filler?

I remember in the past I always had a little flapper door on the fuel tube (or whatever it's called).

I noticed that my 2005 doesn't have one. Does anyone else have one? Mine is just wide open. I'm afraid I might have lost a part or soemthing.

If someone can look, it would put my mind at ease.

I don't have the truck near me so I'm going by memory, but there isn't a flap over the tube. I don't think it is an issue as the gas cap blocks anything from falling in as well as venting the hot air in the summer.

My old car's gas cap was bad so when it got really hot, the gas would over flow out of the gas cap
 
Mine doesn't have one either. There was a thread about it in the past, but I'm not sure where it is now.
 
It seems pointless to have a flapper since all gas caps have an O-ring on them so that a vacuum can be obtained to recover the head space gases into the charcoal canister? Maybe the flapper helps to keep the O-ring from getting splashed, even thought the elastomer should be compatible with petrol?
