New Rear Swing-out Spare Tire Carrier??

In the March 2007 edition of 4Wheel & Offroad on p.108 there is a sweet rear tire carrier that they list as available for the 4Runner. Anyone have any experience with them or heard of this setup? Searching this site hasn't turned up anything and their website doesn't offer much information at all. I am planning to install the OME kit on my 06 T4R and it would be great to have something like this available to handle the larger spare.

I haven't seen the ad, but did go to their web page.

Perhaps this is the type of 4Runner they are talking about?

Probably so, the article didn't list which gen it would be for... oh well.

Here is one made by CBI Offroad, I believe.

(The picture is from 'another 4runner site'...the 4Runner in the picture is owned by 'r0cky')

It uses the rear hitch...don't know much about it...

Yes, you're right. That is r0cky's truck.
I do have this tire carrier too. It rattles a little over the speed bumps and while off-roading and you can't use a hitch when you have it on.
I'm also considering building the swing-out model based on CBI and my custom rear bumper.
