Well i finally have gotten around to taking some pics of all my beloved 4Runner. Just wanted to share with you all! I also took a bunch of pics of my mods. I know pics are helpful when researching. \There are pics of different mods like debadged, wheel spacers, 6000k HID at night, independent fog lights, rear fog lights...

Truck looks good man! I like what the wheel spacers have done for the stock rims. I dont know why oem rims always have to be tucked in. Looks way better with the spacers!
 
Tell me about the De-badging. Easy to remove with hair dryer? I thought about doing that to mine also. I hate how long the "Sport Edition" badge is especially.

Debadging, imo, is awesome. Very simple. I started out with a hair dryer warming it up and using floss trying to be as gentle as possible, but eventually you can just use the floss to get behind it and yank it off without warming it. The only part i hesitated on was the badge on the leftside of the tail gate that says "toyota." Its all one peice of plastic, and i didnt want to break it so i had to go bit by bit. I highly recomend it. i think it looks better. hope that helps.

Thanks, thats what i was thinking too. its funny though... its one of those things you do, and you cant really tell what exactly is different about the truck, but it just looks more aggresive.
 
Lookin' good... don't you love HID's? I sure love it! ;): I might look into those wheels spacers... thanks for sharing

Thanks. Wheel spacers and HIDs were deffinately the best exterior mods ive done. Pricey though. 99 bucks for a pair of 2 spacers... so 200 + Shipping (around 17) for all four spacers. There are cheaper ones on ebay... but i didnt really want to cut corners, not in the mood to have my wheels fall off.
 
wow i think i'm gonna check out the wheel spacers now. didn't even know of such mod.

did you install the wheel spacers yourself? fairly easy?

but yeah, the mods aren't too flashy. being subtle is so classy~

Yea... install wasn't complicated...but jacking the truck up, taking off the tire, putting the spacer on, putting the tire then lowering the truck 4 times in a row is alot of physical work. And dont forget each of the bolts require about 85 ft-lb of torque... such a b*tch. Would have been alot easier if i had a lift in the garage vs. the stock jack.

Eh, just consider it a good workout.

Highly recomend it!

i checked out the wheel spacers by spidertrax and it looks as though they are an anodized blue color.

my question is, does that blue show much or is it unnoticeable?

would you mind taking a side view of your wheels, so that we could see the rotors through the rims?

I will take some more pics, but its barely noticeable. If you look, at the side angle yes you can see... but it so dark and so close to the rim that you dont really notice.
It's deffinately not something to worry about.

No issues at all. I just had to replace my front brakes and the dealer wanted to charge me 50 bucks to take the spacers off, but after a little complaining they ended up not charging me. no other hassles though.

I got the spacers from http://www.spidertrax.com. The WHS-007 spacers are for the 5th gen. 4runners. The transaction was smooth and the shipping was fast. The spacers come in sets of two, so for all four wheels you need two sets. It comes out to about 217 (I think, or 232, cant remember) with shipping.

Oh, and if the site says they are out of stock... just email them asking about them. Mine were "out of stock" too, but i emailed them, then ordered and i had em like a week or two later.
