spring height and tire answers??

Alright, I took a lot of grief from my wife and the car dealer to get this info to you. I know it is not really scientific, but here goes.
I tried to compare the spring heights between my former 98 limited and my 2002 sport. I also tried to compare stock tires to my new 75s.
I was confused at first when I discovered a 1" change in clearance between the stock tires on the 98 and 75s on the 2002, then I realized that due to the tread being worn down on the 98, I lost almost 1/2" (tread depth).

I'm no expert, but since 98' still had the one inch higher coils and 70 series tires, and the '02 had the one inch lower tires but the 75's then the difference should be negligible, BUT that's assuming that that was indeed the tire sizes for those years.

huh, kinda surprised this isn't getting more views. Normally we post about this stuff a lot. Maybe the thread title isn't descriptive enough?
