Well where do we start!!! Hmm, this has been a shit week for vehicles for me. After all the excitement of waiting to see my 4Runner with its new Hollandia sunroof, I feel like I've been kicked in the balls and punched right in the gut, because I'm so mad, I'm actually a bit nauseaus. Monday, when those f-ers open up again, they will wish they had never met me. And they better HOPE TO GOD they fix this exactly like I tell them to, or I will be contacting my lawyer. Yeah, it's that bad..........
No. 1. They put in the wrong sunroof. I repeatedly asked them about the Hollandia 700 series, they said yeah but it's the 5300 series they use. I said ok, as long as it's the Hollandia and it has the two position memory etc, and they said yep that's the one. I go pick it up today, and its not the right friggin sunroof. Didnt know it for sure until I got home and looked up Webasto's site and sure enough, TOTALLY wrong sunroof. I got the SolAire series sunroof. Something seemed odd when I saw that little two position control button, not the one I've seen in the pics here. Plus the sunroof opening seemed a bit small.
No 2. It leaks like a seive. On the way there to pick it up today at 4:30, it rained like a cow pissing on a flat rock. It let up to a light rain about the time the wife and I paid and left from picking it up. I took a few pics of the headliner and saw something odd in the pics from the flash. Wet spots on the headliner. I touched the headliner and it was like a wet sponge. Water was running down the front driver side pillar as well, on the INSIDE, and dripping on my leg.
No 3. They told me the headliner was going to be glued in and not removeable, that's why I had to have the PDR guy fix the few hail dings on the top because once they put the headliner in, it would not come back down without tearing it out. The other lady I talked to today, I mentioned I was a bit upset no one told me that when I scheduled it originally, and she looked at me like I was a retard and asked me who told you that. I said who, and she said that's not right maybe he misunderstood you or something but it's still attached just like factory and will come down just fine if need be. Hmmm.
No 4. Someone in the shop stole the CD that was in the stereo. We cleared out the whole 4Runner of our personal stuff, but the wife said she left a CD in the stereo that she was listening to on the way to drop it off. Thought it'd be fine there so she left it. On the way home, she went to listen to it, and it was not there.
It's been ten years since I've bought a new vehicle, about seven for the wife, and our FIRST new vehicle we've bought together. We were so excited to get this new 4Runner and get this awesome sunroof put in and enjoy this thing for years to come. Well, this has really put a damper on things that's for sure.
So, alas, I am uploading some pics now, and I will post them here in about 20 minutes or so once I get them resized.
I'm gonna go get shitfaced, I cant handle reality anymore...... :bash:
