I like the sub control location - hidden, but easily accessible. Mine is close to that, but in the little opening in front of the center consoler armrest. Also, I was able to put my fused power distribution block under the front seat, between the two seat mounting points. I have an amp directly under the seat and the block next to it.
Did you mount the sub box or just place it there?

I worked on it for 12 hours today. It will be another 12 tomorrow. But I got a lot done.
The amp and distribution block are mounted in the rear where the factory sub and amp were located. The XM tuner is under the driver seat and the EQ and 6XS are going to go under the passenger seat. The front doors are done and the rear doors are 50% complete. The head unit is also in. I still have the power wire to go and to clean up some things.
I can say that the Metra kit (95-8210) is very tight on the Alpine IVA-W200. Tight enough that it will not close smoothly. It is an ISO DIN mount and it is very snug. I bought two kits so I may work on one and reshape the inside of it to see if I can get it to fit better.

Reshape? Naaah. I think you should just buy another vehicle to install the Alpine HU into.
I worked another 12 hours on it today and got it done. See link below for work-in-progress pics.
I had a JL10w1 running off this amp and it sounded pretty descent. The 10w3 on the other hand is a monster. I am very happy with the sub and the box I built. I still have to program the steering wheel control but I have had enough for one day.
My IPod is in the console and there is not a pic of that. There are a few things that need to be addressed but not until later. I would rather enjoy the system for now. The Metra kit is pretty tight on the Alpine head unit. I had to end up filing the top of it so the radio face could close. The sub enclosure is very heavy...about 25 lbs. It does not move and is held in by the double decker cargo cover, It has to be movable.

That dash kit looks phenominal! which one did you use? My dash looks exactly the same even though I have the 6disc JBL. Thanks.

It gives the speaker a good surface to seal against and since it is black it hides the fact there is an aftermarket speaker in the door. The pics do not show this but I also covered the tweeters in black grill cloth. You really could see the speaker and the Focal logo behind the upper grill in the door.
Plus is gives me an opportunity to use my upholstery stapler

And I see you have some little pieces of Dynamat on the rear floor panel, where did you actually Dynamat inside the vehicle? Or where would you suggest putting it?
And lastly, what type of tape is that I see holding the wiring to the floor panel and side panels?

:I used to run Boston Acoustics Pro series in my cars. The reason being, Focals back in the day were not as affordable as they are now. I run components in the front and rear. This was not intentional but the rear components were from my Nissan frontier.
I have listened to a lot of speakers over the years and in my opinion Focal are some of the smoothest and cleanest out there. I can tell you that the Access series I have in the rear sound better than the more expensive Polyglass speakers in the front. They sounded better in the store and my Nissan
I would be hard pressed to buy another set of speakers other than Focal.
The EQS is an equalizer and the 6XS is an electronic crossover. The EQS allows me to have 6-8 bands for the front, rear and sub channels. I can add/subtract certain frequencies to match the acoustics of the vehicle. It is literally like the old EQ you used to run in your dash but in trunk mount form with better internal parts
The 6XS serves two purposes. (1) as a sub level control and (2) allow the front rear and sub channels to only play certain frequencies. If you look at the specs for the Focal mids the really do not want to play lower than 72-75hz. The cross over is set up to ensure the frequencies lower than 70hz will not go to the front or rear speakers. This keeps them from playing to low and the sub portion of the crossover to pick up the rest of the low frequencies.
The Dynamat is what was left over from my Nissan. I had enough to put some in all the doors and the rear floor where the sub would be. Where would I put Dynamat? Anywhere there will be vitiation. On the metal behind a speaker and around a speaker if you have to use it sparingly. Some people really go overboard but that is not always necessary. But excessive use of Dynamat can never hurt
The tape that is holding down the sore is simply black duct tape. I prefer Gorilla tape instated of duct tape but I had the black duct tape.

Most components come with a crossover of their own. My Infinity's in my Honda did. by connecting to different lugs you could limit the frequency range.
Did your Focal's come with something like this? If so, why would you add another crossover? Or is it that the crossover you used works better than the included ones?
I also have a Clarion 4 channel amp with an adjustable crossover built in that's still in my old Ram truck, with the Alpine CDA-7939 CD Max HU, and the ERA-G320 Sound Field Processor. For a simple system, that was one bitchin setup. But, if I had used a seperate crossover like yours, instead of the amps built in one, would it have been better?

The amp gets pretty warm but it is behind the factory subwoofer grill so it gets some air. I know the Zapco stuff runs hot. It always has but they are killer amps.
I have jamed on it for 2 hours straight and it has not gone into thermal yet. I am easy on it most of the time though.

Wow, your system looks awsome. Its funny though that my setup in my old 05 T4R sport looks almost the same for the most part. lol. I had Focal Utopia components up front and polyglass in the rear, also the EQS and an Epicenter behind the factory sub location, w/ the sub controller in the same exact place as yours. Props to you for your setup.
