Cliffs Insane Terrain - 10/20/07 (FJ Cruiser trail team will be there)

Heading back to Cliffs on October 20th, 2007. There a wide variety of trails, I will be there again in my stock '01 4Runner. C'mon Chicagoland folks, this is the third trip there this year and I think only one other person from here has showed up.

Make sure you Chicago folks don't scratch your bumpers in the Bed,Bath and Beyond parking lot this weekend. So Gay
 
I got there around 8:30 in the morning and left around 5:15 in the evening. You didn't ride with the group, huh? I think I saw you pull in and leave about 2 hours later. Black 4th gen came in super clean and left full of mud? Why didn't you hook up wiht the group?
 
that was me. only chilled there for a few hours got real dirty. i went out wheeling with you before (around gurnee) and you konw how chicken i am about messing up my truck and i didnt want to hook up with the group because i thought i was going to hold them back because i wouldnt want to do anything crazy.
 
It did get pretty crazy for a while, did some trails (like 15) that I have never done before. If you had come with you would have lost your running boards and prob. the bottom of your front bumper.

Stupid me forgot my digital camera this trip, so I bought a disposable 35mm (I think) at the gas staion right up the road for $9.00 for 27 pics. Scam

See that FJ? Once again steeper than it may appear. Some of the FJ's couldn't make it up, but I sure did.

Here is the pic going back down, very steep. If you stay on your brakes you will slide into a tree at the bottom. It's kind "whhite knuckle" having to get off the brakes so you can turn. Mud and leaves made it a big slide. You can see the guys at the bottom

Once again I was flying solo so it was hard to get any good shots. All the crazy stuff I wanted to get pics of my hands were kinda busy behind the wheel:D

thats when it was nice and clean when i was heading to the trails
 
racedirt i noticed your missing your brush guard. what happened??? plowing too much dirt with it?
 
Got rid of the brush guard back in the spring, looked good but not practical for off-roading. Would rather damage a bumper than the entire front end if something were to happen. Anybody want to buy a brush guard for a '99 - '02 4Runner?
