Painted Rear Bumper, hood scoop grille, & LED Dome light (PICS)

Alright so my 4Runner was in the shop for about a week, I had it power buffed and waxed all over. The center piece of the rear bumper was flat black with water stains on it, so I had that painted to match the rest of my 4Runner. And I also had the plastic piece above that painted to match. And last I had my hood scoop grille painted silver.

First here's a full shot of how clean my 4Runner looks, I've never seen it look so good before. The paint looks brand new...

Last but not least, the 25-LED dome light from oznium.com which is a beast!! This thing is so damn bright... it's unreal.

Love the silver on the hood scoop. Looks fantastic! And I think the back end looks even better now as well. Great decisions!
 
Wow your truck looks great man. Your 4runner is one of the few that I like that don't get mud on the tires lol.

Haha thanks man, but you've definitely got one clean looking 4Runner as well. You've pimped it out well and it's definitely looking good!
 
The scoop grille looks good... However, I'm not sure why you would paint it silver when it is made out of stainless steel. :confused:

I mentioned this to you months ago on YT. Ten minutes with some sandpaper = brushed satin finish.

Mine looks exactly like the one pictured in the following link. The quality of the stainless is top notch - no rust over the last 8 months:

Yeah I got that idea from you, I had the body shop do it when they did everything else, I told them I wanted it sanded down, but I believe they painted it.
 
I didn't think the silver in the hood scoop would "pop" as much as it does. That and the bumper looks great. I'm curious about the durability of the paint on the rear bumper step. The details is what does it for me, and you've paid attention to them. A+ all around.

Got it from www.burtmanindustries.com for $460, yeah it's expensive, but it was totally worth it.

He told me that paint can come off real easily if I'm not careful with it, he said not to pressure wash it and to be very gentle when washing it.

In general, the paint won't stick to that kind of plastic very well, so do be careful.

Another option for LED dome light modules are the ones I have from TaskLED. They are completely plug-n-play; take the old bulb out, and put one of these in.

They utilize a constant current driver circuit running at 350mA, so there is very little chance of harming the LED during its lifetime. They currently use a single HIGH-powered Seoul ZLED brand LED (Cree die), which runs at about 60 Lumens, so they are VERY bright. Also, this guy is a Land Cruiser enthusiast, so "part of the family" so to speak.

Yeah I got them from Burtman, I still have the clear tail lights if you would like to buy them from me?

Haha thanks man, yeah you should definitely sand down the scoop grille, such a nicer look.
