Weekend Project-Painted Brake Calipers, Hubs & Drums, Chrome Lug Nuts!

To help get over me only having 3 center caps I improvised I bought chrome tuner lugs nuts and painted my calipers, hubs, and drums metallic silver this morning. I just took off all three center caps. I think it turned out good. In the process I broke two wheel studs one on each side of my front hubs. I

Damn those were rusty as hell, but now you've got'em lookin pretty good. I painted mine black earlier last year.

Slick hub trick, Will...makes things look great behind those rims.

Another super trick with lug nuts (chrome) is to use something called 'VHT Metal Tint' that comes in blue, red and gold. After painting, bake @ 300 deg for 20 minutes then allow to cool. It gives ANYTHING chrome that killer anodized look. Looks great on anything aluminium too!

VHT paints can be found in most auto part stores or speed shops. Clear coating afterwards prevents scratching too.

Cross-drilled rotors will look even better behind your rims!

Be sure to post pics of the new rotors when ya get 'em installed!
