CCMG 2008 Rob's Run pictures

We had a great time. I highly reccomend this drive to any of my fellow Nor Cal 4Runner or even most any 4x4 SUV owners. Ruffian got a few light scratches, but they will buff right out. There is definately a section that is pretty challenging, but as you can see from the pictures, the view is worth it! Not so sure on the dust though, gonna take me hours to get her sparkling clean again! But I can't wait to go wheeling again! It would be awesome to get a group of us from here to go. My shotgun rider was MagnumFan from here. We had a blast!

Awesome! I need to go on a road trip/4Wheelin trip. SWFlorida is not a good place to 4Wheel. It would be easy to die. If you got stuck you'd expire within hours from the humid heat, mosquitoes draining your blood and deer flies inflicting flesh wounds. Gators don't help either.

And I promise these are the last I'll post. I've been wheeling lots of times before, but this was the 1st time EVER in a 4Runner. I'm completly sold on this vehicle. The only other in my mind would be a Tacoma. Talk about a comfortable ride on narrow trails. And my last beg to other Nor Cal people who want to wheel, lets GO!! This is how Ruffian rolls:

Wow Ruffian Beautiful area/terrain. I will def have to get directions or even the name of that place from you. I live in Reno so it sounds like thats just a drive away on 80w :bigok:

I got a couple of faint scratches on the passenger side. I think from one of the several downed pine trees I had to squeeze Ruffian through. 3 MASSIVE trees that were just divided in half with just barely enough room to creep between. Trunks half as tall as the SUV! Unfortunetly they still have branches attached! Now that more people are out playing on these trails, this past weekend I noticed people are doing more gardening and these branches have been cut off. Now that Ruffian is de-dusted, lol, I'll have to go get pictures of her first off-road marks. She's not a virgin anymore!

From Reno. Take the Grass Valley/Nevada City exit. AKA Hwy 20. Look for the Hwy 49 Yuba Donner Scenic Byway on your right. Then a right onto North Bloomfield Road. When it T's, we went left, but you can go right and take that road into North Bloomfield & Malakoff Diggings. It's all dirt county roads and too hard & lengthy to describe here. But that's the area. Go explore it! Hey, any of you want to do this run this Sunday? MagnumFan & I are thinking of wheeling again on our own. Esp. since Monday is a holiday.

you seem to be handling (embracing) the scratches well! I dont think I could take it to be honest! I have a 'multi-tool' that I keep in my truck for when a trial is too narrow and needs some trimmins...... someitmes a saw is more necessary...

awesome! Thank you for the directions.. I have been trying like CRAZY every single day to find this thread. because I thought(Yeah I know... Me =Newbie) you could search by your POSTS But was able to find it by usuing your User CP. Sure enough it was there .. thanks :bigok:

Yeah I really like those Nittos. We'll see how they do over time, but for now I'm falling into the category of "Will buy again".
I want to do a 2/1 lift and put some rock sliders on it. Probably since I'm lifting it, do some suspension change to make sure the difference in height doesn't effect things that will only cause more stress and then failure of components.
