i like the light bar! i was looking at them online like 2 hours ago! (im adding my lights to my brush guard) 2 thumbs up!

EDIT u should upgrade the exhaust! say... borla?

looking really good, i love the light bar

where did you get it from and how much did it cost you? (if you don't mind me asking)

also, how difficult was the installation? much drilling/cutting etc...?

-Mangus, I couldn't agree with you more... my runner right now is a total street queen! I have to find some mud out here in AZ.
-Shootmymime, I couldn't agree with you more about exhaust. I have it breathing a little better with the intake, but now I need to hear the growl out the back.

The light bar is from partstrain.com. It runs about $165+ shipping. Install wasn't too tough. I wanted to keep the plastic protector on the smaller opening (mouth) of the bumper, so I had to dremel out one of the cross members to make it fit. If you want I'll take some close up pics to show you what I mean. Overall, with a case of beer and a buddy it should take you about 3 hours or so depending on light switch location inside and how anal you are wiring the lights.

**Working on next mod already. I'm in the process of doing the rear bumper fog light mod. So far I have them drilled out with the bulbs installed and I just have to throw them back in and run the wiring. Very easy, just takes a little patience to get the light assembly to fit just right so you can remove it incase the bulb burns out.

If you could take some pictures of that I would be really thankful, I love the light bar setup and am thinking of copying yours :bigok:
 
Looks Great, really like the light bar and lights on front.

Where did you find the bar, and if you don't mind me asking how much did you have to give for it?

I'll apologize for the picture taking, I'm not much of a photographer... but you get the idea. The kit comes with all the nuts and bolts and it is self explanatory except where it hit that one cross member.

The rear fog light mod is done.. I'll take some pictures tonight of the light bar all lit up as well as the rear lights.

I hate to be even more demanding, but do you think you can take a photo of your car directly from the side?

I just want to get a feel for how far these lights stick out from the front of the car

It tells you on the site: "Requires Mounting Bracket # 50536". It says this when you go to order it. If you have questions give them a call. They were very helpful to me and all of my questions.

I'll work on some more side shots of it for you. There is about 1/4 inch between the bar and the bumper. It's a close fit on the sides where it wraps around the bumper- but directly in the front it's close enough. I am a very picky person when it comes to mods and being done right- and I was not one bit dissapointed in how this bar mounts up or looks. It gives it a prerunner look that allows high mounts for your lights. Very satisfied!!

I noticed it said that, but it says that kit is for the tacoma, just wanted to make sure that kit worked on the 4runner.
