97 SR5 w/305 MTZ's and 16 x 10 Rims

After much deliberation I finally pulled the trigger on a new set of wheels and tires.

Installed the lift about 4 months ago (2.5" Daystar).

Here are the details:

Wheels: 16 x 10 ProComp Extremes (real cheap)
Tires: 305-70/16 Mickey Thompson MTZs

I had to trim the plastic lower front bumper valance and some front fenderwell liner (on the rear of the front fenderwell) to avoid the rub at full lock/full compression.

Nah...amber, clear, whatever...it doesn't matter to me.

Next thing for my $$ is an ARB bumper!

Thanks uluafishing. My racks are made by YAKIMA, and they have WRV surf pads on them to fit more boards. I like the look it gives to the ride also.

hey man, do you have 5% tint all the way around including on the back window? im lookin into getting a dark tint for my runner, its black, so i think it would look pretty good with something dark....

I have 5% tint on all the back and just a shade lighter on my front sides and I've never had an issue at night since it's not as dark looking out as some assume. If I need to see out the back in some cases I just roll the rear window down.

No wheel spacers required.

I did my buddy's '98 Runner and his is an inch taller (lucky he has the 98). He's running 285/75/16 BFG AT on 16 x 8's.

I'm really enjoying the performance of the MTs!

A little stiff in the ride, but worth it.
