Went up camping over the weekend and was hoping for better weather... but it was still fun. Here are some pics.

hey hey hey now.....I've seen alot of stock XJs go places where some lifted 4Runners wouldn't dare :D

Plus the guys in the XJs have an advantage...their rigs are old enough, rusty, and ugly already, so that they don't care about body damage or leaning it against a rock wall, lol...

I like my 4Runner so much, I don't want to scratch it! Heck, I get upset when dirt gets tracked into it (well, that's because I bought it for my wife and she'd make me clean it up!)

ask me how I know ;)

Looks like a great spot. Was that the weekend it snowed up in the mountains (around mid to late August)?

Yes sir, it did indeed snow for a little bit.

You can get to it either I-70 or hwy 285. Its a trail off Guwanella Pass (Probly spelled that wrong). Guwanella Pass connects Georgetown (I-70) to a little town called Grant (off 285), and there are tones of trails off it.

Very cool. I know that area pretty well. There is some nice scenery up there, especially in the fall when the aspens start to change.
 
I was just in CO last July, did medano Creek trail into Great Sand Dunes Nat. Park, that was a blast. I have been meaning to post some pics but havent got to it yet. I am extremely jealous of anyone that lives in CO, one of the most beautiful states IMO.

Its been really cold lately... Think it snowed at all above timberline the last couple days? Im in Boulder and it rained almost all night last night and most of today too.
