I have changed plenty of tires in the old days. I don't know that much about TPMS but I'm 99% sure they unbolt and go in the new rims. I missed you were changing rims...

If I am all confused and you're staying with the stock rims it's no big deal. The core of the valve stem goes in and out just as they always have and the TPMS transducer stays attched to the base of the valve stem safely bolted to the rim.

hahahhha wow i am tired/stupid. i meant to say "when"

i am keeping the rims for now but i am planning on gettin a set in the very near future. i should have stated that, my bad.

where can i get some stickerss??!!

Good Luck. In addition to Pics...Measure all 4 corners, before and after. I think you will find the lift closer to a 3/1.5 than 2.5/2

the tires came today, and they are AWESOME looking.. very beefy and a lot fuller lookin

wheelers was sold out of the rear spacers and waiting on more so i should have them in 3-4 days....so unfortunatly i wont be doing this till next weekend...

i also got ebay happy and bought the tube style nerf step bars and a bull bar

my ebay addiction is rediculous... but my truck will be looking fierce by next weekend !

yes i did plan to do before and after measurements with pics. question - ive read about some people leaving the stock rubber spacer? i guess you would call it. and some people taking it out. any input on this ?

*edit - "3/1.5"?? i sure hope my front end isnt higher than the back. i will be one mad puppy if it is....

Factory rake is 2.5" so even after the lift you s/b at 1" higher in the rear than the front. I removed the factory rubber coil spring isolator. If your concern is the front being to high, remove it too.

Looking at your pics, the front still looks a little high. Same with, uhh...can't remember his name but has the white daystar lift. Maybe it is just the angle you took the pics.

NJRunner11....yeah, Wheelers called me today too and told me they didn't have the rears. I told them I just wanted to wait it out till my tires wore out. No sense in having the spacer kit lying around. Use that money towards stereo stuff...mainly Sirius as I miss it in my 4Runner.

Good luck with the install and be sure to post some nice level pics from the side. :)

thanks guys! ill have tons of pics of ALL my mods and pretty good explanation of each! ive received TONS of help from various members, so the least i can do is give back to the community...

im still curious about these stock spacers. what is the "proper" thing to do? i would like to leave them if it will give me some extra lifting as opposed to taking them out and losing a bit of height. but what is the professional route?

with talk of the "3/1.5" look id theoretically like to remove the back and leave the front stock spacer to help get rid of the rake, but im not sure what the proper way is. i dont want to ruin anything or cause any premature damage. im very new to all of this and would like some insight.

i want my rig to look the best it can, but without causing stupid unnessary damage. im sure the directions would tell me what i should do, but i want to confirm what i "could" do without causing damage....

ps- i just got done staring at my tires and i CAN NOT wait !!!

I am sure you read my write up already, but I am going to have to recommend to keep and use the factory rear cones. That is part of the benefit of the DS lift that you can still insert the cones through the spacer. It can help to take the edge off of hard rear end hits. It also may be part of the reason that CF 3/2 users say that the rear end becomes harsh as they usually dont reuse the rear cones.

awesome thanks JA... youve got pretty damn good street cred so id do just about anything you recommend

now how about eh front? does that have this factory rubber thingy too ?

arggg i hate waiting!! im giddy like a school girl :jump:

The front has a rubber spring isolator which iirc is approx 1/4" or less. it is there to provide an isolation factor so metal is not on metal. Since the DS spacers are poly and there is not a need to go over the 3" height mark which the DS will provide, i removed mine as per the instructions. If I was using an aluminum spacer or wanted an additional 3/8" lift that this isolator gives then I might have used it.

Have you taken the before measurements yet? If so please post as I would like to see what your factory rake calc is and also the side to side variances.

not yet i will do that on my lunch break tomorrow... you think there is a difference between the two sides? if so what wuld be the reasoning for that ?

I know that there is and most people measure the side to side variance at 1/4" - 1/2". Most dont notice it till after the lifting but it is there before. The reason they notice it after is that after lifting they start doing all these measurements and once you see it on paper you start noticing it in actuality. Then they attribute it to the lift. But if you take precise before measurements you will notice it in advance. Then be sure to take your after measurements in the same location with the same tire pressure.

THE LIFT HAS FINALLY ARRIVED.....

tomorrow the magic will happen. pics of all mods and tons of before and after pics as well as before and after measurements....

any specific requests for any pics or info? feel free to let me know and ill do my best to take care of ya....

for those of you that care-

wat a day... put on the lift, step bars, and light bar....

like a dumbass my camera batteries were dead as soon as i took my first pic, and none were to be found.. MAJOR bummer. i have a few iphone pics but there not too good

the lift wasnt too hard but a lil pain in the ass to do. both of my front ball joint boots are ripped. the first one i did in two spots, the second i think is just one tiny slice. is this a big deal? can i use something to patch them up? i was told its not a HUGE deal, but im OCD crazy and its just urking me. besides that everything went smooth, besides the usual stuborn nut.

directions were a little vague at some points and additional tweaking of random shit had to be done at times, but i guess thats usually always a given.

the buddy that was going to mount my tires isnt available till tomorrow morning so for now no tires. i must say the lift looks decent wit the stock tires, but will look amazing with the new ones. the ride is pretty damn good too. the front feels a little floaty but thats normal with a lift. the rear does not feel stiff at all.

can someone link me to the sway bar bushing upgrade directions for future reference

question- 2 VSC lights are on alone with the ABS.. check engine is not. the tires are not on yet so should i wait till they are on and after alignment to do the zero point calibration?i would say yes but double checking...

i think that is all for now... tomorow (before or after my EAGLES whoop them giants!:chair: ) i will take pics some measurements and get her all cleaned up. cant wait for the tires!!

next up: exhaust!

edit: just did some quick measurements and the passenger side sides a half inch higher than the drivers.... it sounds sill but i def notice this when driving, even tho its a half inch.... i wonder why?

Did you use the ball joint puller? Or the pickle fork. The ripped boots cant possibly be good.

Good luck with the lights, I hope it is a simple calibration and not a stressed wire. I did not need to do the zero calibrate at all.

Half inch higher on the pass side here as well. You dont notice it at all till you start measuring, then it becomes quite apparent. It's not due to the lift, but comes that way from the factory.

Let us know the post lift / pre tire measurements as well as the post lift / post tire measurements.
