Intermittent "clunk" upon braking and release of brakes

wife bought an '04 T4R limited while I was hanging out in Iraq... Awesome vehicle, but she didn't notice this "shifting, clunking" feeling when coming to a stop and after releasing the brakes. It's intermittent. The dealership couldn't figure it out so they annotated my concern in case warranty work was involved. Anyone have these issues? Thanks for any advise...

mine does this as well as almost everyone elses.... i suppose its normal, but very annoying!

happens more often after hard braking, at least for me
 
It is very annoying.
I ask the dealership to lubricate the drive shaft whenever I am there but that only eliminates the noise for a very short period of time...
 
i never saw that thread before... 43 pages! holy hell!

i bought a grease gun and grease the other day, can anyone tell me where to find pics or some type of reference to know exactly what and where to lube?

i read that you need 2 types of grease, is this true? i have No2 grade lithium 12

actaully ive found that the search button blows

at least compared to other forums that i belong to

be thankful it's only a clunk... my front brakes rattle like a MF on bumpy roads cuz some dimwit at the dealer forgot to shim the pads properly.
 
Clunk resolved for now...

Thanks to all! It was a little disturbing that the dealership mechanic couldn't figure out the noise while he rode in the vehicle with me... It's good for now. I'll have it redun every two oil changes (i guess)... Saved me some grief....Thanks!
 
Driveline clunk FTW!

Learn to ignore it is my only advice. It will be back. Until then, I'm glad it's temporarily fixed.

At the place where I have mine serviced, lubricating the driveline is just a normal part of their oil change service. So just ask to have it done at every oil change and you shouldn't have the problem again.
