Here comes the stupid question! :)

I thought that a body lift messed up the way the bumpers meet the body and creates a gap. I have heard folks with aftermarket bumpers talking about this.

I dream of a body lift one day (guess I better hit the gym! Ha!), but I thought it would leave my ARB front bumper in the same spot and my grill would raise up leaving a gap. My stock bumper was connected to the frame, and so must yours be.

So...how come there are no gaps above your bumpers? I must be missing something here...

The 4crawler kits come with some brackets that will raise the stock front bumper as well, the only problem is that they won't work with aftermarket bumpers. The rear comes up without any adjustments.

what you're missing......is bumper brackets :D
 
it doesnt work with aftermarket bumpers because id assume it wouldnt hold. espiceally if you tapped a rock sometime. but i have heard of brakets for arbs. i think someone on the site is running them. does look good. but now my sliders are welded to the frame it would look funny with them hangin down. so im gonna have to do some coil spacers.

Seeing a pic of your 4Runner reminds me, I need to pick up a set of window vent visors at some point. I'm just not sure if I want the "in channel" or "stick on" version. I've had the stick on kind before, just thinking about trying something different. How are you AVS vent visors holding up?
 
*drool* Your 4Runner is coming along so nicely, LINY. Looks awesome. That BL makes such a big difference. I kinda like it with the brush guard off for now. I'm very envious of your rig.

What are the pros/cons of stick on vs. in-channel? I would assume in-channel are better because they're more securely attached?

Nahh I'm a cheap-ass...standard blocks/standard hardware

It'll hold up just fine, the difference with the upgraded "ultimate" blocks is just the width anyways...
