Black Burlwood Grain Dash Kit

Does anyone have this kit installed?I found it on ebay and it looks nice at least on pic. I saw tread here with instalation of wood dash kit and it didn't look right in 4R. I thing it would look nice in mine because for me there is too much silver color in center console. I think Limited version have at lest few pices of this kit. What do You think?:confused:

I don't agree. I have a kit that is very similar to that one and it looks great !!! It doesn't cover any of the silver pieces but it does run from the temp all the way to the arm rest, including some other areas.

Does your set include the ones for the silver strips on the door panels?
I saw them on ebay and was considering purchasing.
 
No it doesn't. I left all of the original silver pieces visable. What it does include is the temp controls, the pocket below that, the cup holders, the complete shifting area, the area where the DAC and other buttons are located, the dash around the speed guage, the key ring, the area on each door where the window buttons are, the complete piece for the sunglass/homelink area/sunroof opener, and on the glove compartment.

I took some pictures the other day if you are interested.

I personally don't like all that burlwood. I am trying to find a nice brushed aluminum or stainless steel to cover most/all of the silver pieces. Does anyone have one installed? linhsy has some aluminum trim, but I don't think it covers the silver pieces and isn't quite the metallic look I am thinking of.

Have you heard of any manufacturers that are quality? I can't simply trust an ebay seller simply saying "they are better than that other kits on ebay".

Well, I take it back......some of that burlwood looks pretty nice. Those pics are the most useful information on dash trim kits I have seen on this entire forum. They are really good pics.

I'm still going to look for the metal trim, since I have the stock black "marble" interior in some of those spots, and I kinda like it. I think a combination of metal trim with either what you installed or the limited black marble would look sweet.

Now I'm in trouble ! It looks realy nice. I don't know if I would like all those pieces instaled but some of them for sure.
Question. Where did You buy your kit? I found one on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7914049880&category=40017 ) and it looks like it is orginal made by Toyota. Is it the same kit You have on your 4R ? They want 169$ for it.
Another one. Is it passible to take this kit off so there isn't any mark left on orginal panels?

I'm sure with a little hard work and maybe some goop remover that all the pieces would come off. I can't guarantee that they would come off without leaving any marks or blemishes. But, if you need them to come off, the idea would be to replace them with another set all together.

By the way, the two rear doors also get the similiar pieces on the window controls as the fronts do. I didn't take a picture of those b/c essentially they look the same.

Hi All,

Anybody dealt with Sherwood Dash?. They seem to have the pieces that I want. According to their web site, their product seems to be top notch.
 
On an edmunds thread (the link is provided below) a guy said:
