Shuei Japanese Accessories

I am starting this thread because I am probably going to place an order with this Shuei company in Japan. They have already confirmed they would ship to me. I will do a mass order if anyone wants some of these. If someone could translate some of these pages it would be a big help.

Dice originally posted a thread about this company (I started a new thread so it had a more descriptive subject, but if a moderator wants to combine the threads, I totally understand):
http://www.toyota-4runner.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=3670&highlight=Japanese

Lowered Version (I think they call it Low Down Version):
http://www.shuei.co.jp/rvshuei/demo/demo2.html

Raised Version:
http://www.shuei.co.jp/rvshuei/demo/demo1.html

General Site:
http://www.shuei.co.jp/

Other General Site:
http://www.shuei.jp/

If you navigate the two general sites, you can find more parts, or at least more pictures and prices. I couldn't post links easily because the way they are linked weird.

BTW: The item I want the most is the grill.

I am going to place the order soon, so if you want anything, let me know soon. At least let me know what you want a price quoted on, so I can ask him all at once.

I'd like to know if that lift is XREAS compatable.

I'll add that and any other questions from anyone else to the next email. Keep in mind, the response I received back was in broken english......it was understandable, but it might be a little difficult to get answers. If no-one else translates the site for us, I may have to signup with babelfish to try to get some of site translated.

I bet someone will be interested in the fender flares they have. The picture doesn't seem like the flares are that big (said somewhere 45mm), but might be useful for someone that wants bigger rims/tires, needs it for off-roading, of just wants to make their 4runner look a little more beefy. The lamps look pretty sweet too.

Id like to ask the same if the lift is X-Reas compatible & also what is the size of the lift? (looks like 3 inches?)

Do they sell the clear corners for the headlight housing?
(ie:with no orange on the corners of the headlights as in the pics)

OK, so I am going to send the email a little later today with the following questions:

1. What is the total cost for the grill with shipping?
2. How much time will it take?

3. Is your lift X-Reas compatible? What is the size of your lift? What is the total cost for the lift with shipping?
4. Do you sell the clear corners for the headlight housing? Or is that just how they come from Toyota in Japan?
5. What is the total cost for the skidplate with shipping?

If anyone else has some questions, now is the time.

Do you like or dislike the look of the Shuei Grill I am thinking about ordering?

You can see pictures of it in this thread:

OK, I edited my post above to include that question.

Anymore? I am surprised no-one is asking about the skidplate. I think it looks a lot better than the Tacoma one others have installed. Maybe there is another one, that is better, that I don't know about, since I haven't really researched it.

I knew someone would be interested in the skidplate. I added the question to the post above. In the email I will state that all these items are for other people and see how they want to handle shipping. Basically, I'll ask if they will ship to everyone individually, or if they want to ship it all to me and I can distribute it from here......and how it will affect the cost.

Nobody interested in the lamp stay? I don't know how it compares to the Jaos or other brands, but I thought I would ask just in case. Come to think of it (dah!), I should ask for approximate costs for all of the 4th Gen 4runner accessories, shipped to the US.

Cool, 4RunnerLaker is in Socal somewhere too, so the two of you would be extra conveinent.

I agree about the light bar, but then again, I have never been off-roading. Do you think the same thing about the grill I am going to get? Don't worry about a couple negative comments swaying me from placing this order, I like the grill quite a bit. Still, I am curious what other people think of it and there still hasn't been a single person that commented on it.

I will let you all know when I get a response to this email:

Dear Shuei,

Thank you for your email. That is wonderful news that you can sell to us. I will go ahead and assume that the grill will attach to my US 4runner. Here are our questions:

1. What is the total cost for the grill with shipping?
2. How much time will it take?
3. Is your lift X-Reas compatible?
4. What is the size of your lift?
5. What is the total cost for the lift with shipping?
6. Do you sell the clear corners for the headlight housing? Or is that just how they come from Toyota in Japan?
7. What is the total cost for the skidplate with shipping?
8. What form of payment do you accept? VISA? Paypal?

My shipping address is:

Thank you again and I look forward to hearing from you,
-Jason

Which grill are you getting again?

My comments and questions to all of you are shown bolded. I am just trying to get a little help from you all before I send him questions like huh? what? when? how?

Replies from Shuei, some good, some bad:

Dear Jason

Thank you for connection.
I reply to your question.

> 1. What is the total cost for the grill with shipping?
*A payment frame is filled in below.
What in the world does this mean?

> 2. How much time will it take?
*It is for about one week generally.
Nice, I hope this is how long to my door step and not just for them to process the order.

> 3. Is your lift X-Reas compatible?
*It does not correspond to X-Reas.
I guess this means that they will not work with X-Reas. But it could be read as if he thinks we are asking if the springs are X-reas

> 4. What is the size of your lift?
*It is 2 inches about.
This one is pretty clear.

> 5. What is the total cost for the lift with shipping?
*It is exchange of a front and the back about Springs.
*The price of Springs is 38000 yen in Japanese yen.
I think this is the price for the entire set.

> 6. Do you sell the clear corners for the headlight housing? Or is that
> just how they come from Toyota in Japan?
*Sale of standard parts is also possible.
It is probably best to get these through Toyota, if you still want them.

In Japan, it is a rest this summer.
Please give me time a little.

> 7. What is the total cost for the skidplate with shipping?
I guess he is still working on this one.

> 8. What form of payment do you accept? VISA? Paypal?
*Please give me payment in cash.
What do you think he means by this? I don't think I should have to send Japanese Yen......maybe money order or cashiers check

Investigating all, I contact you.
Thank you

Dear Jason,

It is assembly exchange of a headlight.

It is an object for right-hand drives.
The price of the right is 25000 yen in Japanese yen.
The price of a left price is 25000 yen in Japanese yen.
It does not know whether the car in the United States can be equipped.

Returned goods are not made.
No Returns :(

Thank you
