Pictures of my new ride!!

Hello all!

I picked up a new '04 SR5 two weeks ago and just got the chance to wash it up and take some pictures! Keeping a dark car clean here during monsoon season has proven challenging. :p

Mods in the first 2 weeks:
- window tint (a must for that AZ sun)
- mounted rear spoiler (am I 2fast 2furious yet? :D )
- installed overhead 'Homelink' console
- mounted Valor exhaust tip
- homemade 'gutter-guard' grill mesh.. looks good!
- applied T4R.ORG sticker to rear

That's a nice truck you have there. I really like the mods you did. You even put the t4r.org sticker on in the two weeks you had it.

anyways, got pics of the front of the grill mesh..?

I did take a picture of the grill mesh but due to the angle of the sun, etc, the camera didn't catch it well. I'll see if I can get another pic.

As promised... weeks later :p Here is a pic of my $3 gutter-guard grill. I figured if I don't like it, I can rip it out and I'm only out $3....

The best color of all the 4Runners!

I have the same with the gutter guard. I really like the look and continue to get comments from people that see it. Just wish we didn't have to show a front license plate here in Virginia!
 
Nice ride bro (sis?). I've got a Limited just like it...the grey is an awesome color and really helps the silver accents stand out.

Curious about the grills...I've done the upper grill, but I've not done the lower yet because I'm trying to figure out the best way to get at it...any advice?

As far as the lower grill, with the hood up, you can reach down to that location, just need to fish the mesh around the hood pull and what I think is the A/C line if I remember right...

It helps to have monkey-long arms like me but its not too tough..

It looked pretty easy to access from below as well, but I haven't attempted this mod yet. It's worth checking though.
 
Hey mate... good choice on 4rnr colors...i got the same thing.. it really looks sharp when it is cleaned up.... are ya going to change the rims and tires? lift kit?
 
BULECZKA.. Regarding the spoiler, since I wanted a spoiler but the the truck didn't have it, I got the dealer to throw it in. You can see that the spoiler brake light is slightly different from those shipped with the spoiler from the factory. The dealer did the install. I had found an installation PDF online so if you need one, let me know. If you are looking for a spoiler, check EBAY, their are some dealers selling them out there.


NAVY.. Thanks! The galactic gray mica looks great when clean. I've enjoyed reviewing your mods, those rims look great. At this time, I do not plan on doing a lift. Maybe a wheel upgrade in the future. I really wanted a Sport but couldn't find one in my area in the color I wanted so I may end up 'sportifying' my truck a bit. I plan on painting the mirrors to match and the roof rack silver. My last two cars had leather and I kind of miss it so that might be on the wish list too...
 
...also thinking about those chrome door handles like Luxury has. They look pretty sharp and I think they would look good with the galactic gray....
