Hey check out my new mod i did today... i saw it yesterday and did it... was pretty simple... grille made outta aluminum... can get anywhere... :dancin:

thanks dudes... i can't wait to get my 4rnr.org stickers! My daystar lift kit came in today... HOWEVER, just the front kit came in... back kit on back order... greattttttttttttttttt !

I'm curious do you think you'll have a hard time wheelin with the 18 inch wheels?

hard time wheeling? i dont' understand.. like are the wheels going to inhibit me from wheeling? or am i afraid of scratching a $500 wheel? i am moving to hawaii in a month and don't plan on doing much wheeling over there... my wife and i will be there for 4 years... so , but just incase they did have something, i put on the new NITTO Terra Grapplers.. they are awesome all-terrain tires... :awais:

i bought them from a shop in pensacola , however, they merely looked up online @

to find the ones i wanted and then they called up a distributing company to order them for me.. i was like, hell i could have done that myself...

here's a close up of it... , um, hard to do, no... but it does take time... to make sure you have all the grille pieces aligned right... and cutting it out to fit...

I wonder how that will look on my silver runner? Did you say you found the instructions for this mod here?

i didn't find the instructions per say, one of the guys said he got the type of grille for the job and cut it to fit and simply tie-strapped it to the back... i took the toyota grille off, easier to do this way.. and then made all the pieces to fit, use a dremel tool to cut or some wire snips... then just bend it around and what not, you can use tie straps, but i think that thin wire secures it better.. i didn't have it at the time... the bottom piece is the easiest to do... it is screwed in themiddle and i drilled hole in the support to fit a tie strap in...

haha, your gonna laugh... HOME DEPOT.. it's gutter guard, made outta aluminum or galvanized steel or stainless steel.. you can find it other places too...

yo man the grille looks awesome i want to do it to my car. i went to home depot and gutter gaurds are about 3 foot x 6 inch and the top grille is like 8 or 9 what did u do?

Ok guys I will say it, this grill will get to be a pain in the butt after a while when you have to clean it and all the bugs off of it!!!

I LOVE the way it looks, but Man I had that kind of set-up way back when and I hated to clean it after a while I just took it off completely....

I saw some black plastic mesh at Home Depot (a while ago, and I think they discontinued) that would probably stay cleaner or show the dirt less. But, it would most likely be less visible.
