Hey everyone i got my wheels and tires in and they look BAD ASS! The only bad thing is that here in H-Town it has been rainy, like every other day. So today it was kinda overcast but i shined up the runner so i could post some pics. If the sun was out you wouldnt be able to look at them! JK... They really do shine, the pics dont do any justice. Let me know what yall think
O YEAH and i just installed my Billet Grille, thanks to BIFF...who was a pleasure doing business with!

Looks good dude!

Do you have any probs with your Tire Pressure Sensors? I though there was a problem with those and the TPM.

You mind me asking how much and where?
 
Sometimes

Yeah the tire pressure light only comes on when i am driving for more than an hour or so. It came on when i took a trip over the holidays, but everyday driving it never comes on???? So it doesnt really bother me at all. Yeah i got them at Discount Tire. The total was 2300, with everything including the lifetime replacement and thats pretty good seeing how the tires are like 280 a piece. It rides SOOO much differently now. You can really tell those tires HUG the road. I like the way it changed the ride
 
Looks sharp. I've been waiting patiently for your pics. Great lookin Runner, BTW.

Glad someone finally tried these on. What are your thoughts on the BFG's?

I love them, they make it handle WAY differently. Like on the highway, where before if there was a wind gust or something like that were it would normally get blown around you can tell they keep you in the same spot. I really like em, i let you know i only have 1000 miles on them so far. Need to put some more miles on so i can experenice everything on the road

WOW! :awais: That grill looks incredible on your white 4runner. I have to run, so I haven't even checked out all those pics, but very nice choices. Do you mind if I post up a pic of your grill in the 4th gen grill replacement or inserts thread?

Kewl thanks for the mini review. I think the fact that the sidewalls have been drastically reduced also helps with getting blown around on the highway. Less flexing on the sidewalls means a stiffer platform.
 
Ya I like that grill to, who did you get it from? :D Tires look money, sweet ride all around.
 
Wow! Makes me re-think my stance on big rims on 4x4's...they look great! Those tires rock from what I hear...I wanted a set for my Jetta before I sold it.

3000 miles

Welp everyone i now have about 3100 miles on my new wheels and tires. All i can say is they are F-N GREAT. They seriously make the runner handle and hold the road way more aggressivley. My buddy has an 03 sport 2 wheel drive and i rode with him the other day and i couldnt belive the difference in the ride. His felt real top heavy when he turned and everything else. With these tires it has changed the way you can corner and u can kinda pretend its a more sportier veichle. Fun for me at least!! Since ive never owned a sports car. The only complaint is that i am REAL anal and so now that i have these wheels i feel like they have to be blingN at all times, so i carry my Spray-A-Way glass cleaner with me at all times so if im not at home and there dirty i can clean em. so thats the only complaint i have at this time but ill be sure and let everyone know if anything else comes up! LOL
 
I wonder why my dealer knows NOTHING about these wheels?:awais: Ive ordered my truck and would like these wheels, but as far as they know no such wheel for the 4R exists. Any ideas?

Discount Tire

Yeah i got them at Discount Tire. My dealer said he could get them but they were about 300 more so i went with Discount. Yeah the weather has been real rainy so i havent got a chance to take anymore pics. But tomorrow is supposed to be sunny so im going to wash and detail the truck so ill take some more and post them.
 
i AM GONNA GO (CAPS off) to another dealer today to see if they are able to get these wheels..... The more I look at them the more I like them, specially on the runner!
 
4runna_sport - I got my Yokohama tires at Discount, they have pretty good prices and great service.

Actually, it was funny to see this thread because last weekend I found a nail in my back tire, so we made a visit to Discount Tire. While there, I picked out the wheels below. I have to wait till after Christmas to come up with the $$. They aren't as cool or fancy as yours, but I like them and they fit my budget. My current wheels are brushed mags and the previous owner had stained them and I've tried everything including Meguiars Mag Cleaner and they still won't come clean. I really like the look of Chrome over brushed anyway, so this works out pretty good.

They are $115 each, but the center hub is an additional $25 each. So I'll be into about $640 for all 4 with Chrome stems and such. Someday I'll get a set of the 17" or 18", I really like them but just to much cash right now.
