I'm new to the forum and would like to introduce myself :) I've had a toyota as long as I've been able to drive *LOL* I started with a 1989 Supra when I was 16 and then a 96 4Runner, a 94 Supra Turbo, and now 05 4Runner Sport (I still have all of them by the way)

Last thursday I picked up my brand new 2005 Sport V8 4x4 loaded (had 3 miles on it)...It was the only 1 out of 1068 4Runners in the southeast that was a titanium metallic silver sport v8...I absolutely LOVE it...the new v8 is powerful and smooth...like my sc'd 96, but smoother. It's more like a luxury vehichle than a suv.

Just like my other vehicles...I can't leave anything alone *LOL* and I can't wait to start modding this thing *hehe*

Pics are below. I've already learned a lot just by searching the forums...I hope to contribute some in the near future.

specs:
2005 4Runner Sport Edition V8, Titanium Metallic Silver, 4x4 / full time 4wd, X-REAS, 5sp Auto, 10spk JBL surround sound system, pwr sunroof, leather, dd cargo, rear wireless headsets, all the buttons and gadgets *hehe*

Soon to add:
all weather floormats, rear spoiler (maybe), "surf" rear step plate, functional rear reflector/lights, sc (whenever it is available again) and a full touch screen computer (car-puter)

Welcome to the board. Talk about a diehard Toyota fan!! I have also been driving a Toyota every since I could drive, but that is only 2 years!! I can't see myself switching though. Good luck with the new 4Runner and can't wait to see some pics. I am very surprised that it was hard to find a Titanium Silver Sport. In my area, that is pretty much the only color Sport you see!!!

Mark...nice one you got there as well ;) I'm really thinking about the toyota front bumper guard...I was wondering if the silver on the bar matches the titanium metalic silver??
 
Thanks 24Runners. You can't go wrong with a silver sport!! The bumper looks like it would match the titanium silver perfectly. I can't tell you for sure because my sport bumper is against the black bumpers. Just so you know, the Toyota bumper is not very durable. I don't know if you do much offroading or want something that will really protect your truck. In my case, I got it for the looks and to protect my truck from New York parallel parking!!

It matches, mine came with it. I didn't want it but since it was on the SE I wanted I figured what the hell :) It has grown on me and now I like it. I do like the looks of yours without the rear spoiler. Also is the leather a 2005 option or did they add it after market? (it looks nice). Welcome to the site. You have good taste. Hang onto that 1994 Supra :D

The leather was added at the port in Jacksonville Florida....I actually didnt want the leather, but it was already added. If you notice, the plastic seat parts are the dark color and not the light gray like the Limited's that come with leather. (I wasnt charged for the leather, cuz I didnt want it)....but...after driving it for a few days, the leather is much better than I thought and I'm beginning to like it.

Leather now days is really soft...I was use to harder leather interiors, but this is really soft leather and matches nicely :) I originally wanted the dark charcoal cloth that comes with the sport edition.

I still havent made up my mind about the spoiler yet...we'll see *hehe*

and i LOVE my supra...awesome car in every way possible
 
That's the first sport I've seen with port installed leather that wasn't charcoal instead of grey.

Nice truck! Can't wait to see your carpc.

I happen to be particularly fond of your vehicle and honestly a little envious of the VVTI. Very nice ride. You'll find this forum quite helpful. I'm curious if Toyota corrected the cyclical driveline vibration and drone between 70 MPH and 83 MPH? Have you heard or felt anything through the driver's floorboard or steering wheel?
 
I haven't felt anything...but then again I have only done in-town driving since I bought it...I haven't done a lot of highway-speed driving. If I notice anything I will post it.
 
Very nice and welocome to the club. Where in Ga are you from? I saw your tag, I think that is Savanah?

I have an 04 Sport,V8 4wd as well. It had leather installed at the port also, I didnt want it either. The factory leather is much better in my opinion. Do not set anything on your seats that you feel will make an imprint. For some reason this leather does not have much resliance to it.
 
I'm in Milledgeville...about an hour and a half south-east of Atlanta.

They are sending me the dark charcoal cloth covers...so if I decide I dont like the leather, I can go back to the original cloth.
