Cell phone mute wth the factory stereo?

I just installed my Bluetooth handsfree it and love it. I did not find a cell phone mute wire in the wiring diagrams for my 04 Limited's Nav stereo. Does anyone know if it can do this?

I didn't even know that the navigation stereo has bluetooth!

Does it work like the new Acura TL? Leave your phone in your pocket and it rings over the stereo speakers? Answer with a button on the steering wheel? Just talk out loud and hear the oher party thru the stereo speakers??

If so, I think I'll hook up my phone to the navigation stereo. Does it work with the Camry navigation system?
 
Ok, I installed the Motorola BlueTooth Car Kit in my 4Runner, to go with my Motorola V710 phone. So it works without the use of the factory stereo. I want to know if the Factory Nav unit has a wire or a way to activate a mute when a call comes in like aftermarket stereos do?

I am having the Parrot CK3100 kit installed tomorrow in my 05 SE. The radios do not have not have a dedicated mute wire. However, the installer I gave the diagrams to said he would have no problem getting the mute to work. I had the Sony kit installed before that used it's own speaker, and I bought this kit so I could use the factory speakers. The CK3100 does not come with a seperate speaker, so I hope it works. I will let you all know tomorrow....

Doc, let me know how he did the mute? I thought about tapping it into the mute wire in the wireing diagram but was not sure if that would work?
 
That is what he said he was going to do, tap into that mute wire. I am just wanting to make sure he doesn't wire it so I can't switch out head units in about six months to the navigation unit. I am getting ready to go drop it off....Will let you know as soon as possible.

Couldn't get the parrot to work because there was no way of wiring to work with the existing speakers...i.e. no mute wires, etc. How is the moto kit working? Any issues? Does it have DSP (digital signal processing) for noise reduction? Any body complain of wind noise when you are driving at highway speeds? Last question, can you post a pic of your install?

I have had nothing but complements on it. It sounds great, went in easy, is very easy to use. Even with the sunroof opened to ventilate (back tilted not retracted) people can hear me just fine. Even the voice dial works for both front seat passengers.

Great man...I think I will go ahead and get one. I thought about waiting for the new HFW850 unit as it has DSP, but I don't know. Did you have any problems installing it with the JBL system? Thanks, and when I get it and install it I will send some pics myself.

Is the mic mounted to the glass or the A pillar? Thanks.

Mic is mounted to the A-Pillar. The install had no effect on the NAV Headunit. I put the speaker under the passenger seat and it works great. I have more than enough volume.
 
Does this kit have DSP noise reduction? I keep reading it has noise reduction on different websites, but I don't see it listed anywhere....Thanks.

I do not know, but it sounds amazing so I would assume so. At 75 mph on the freeway with 2 bikes on the roof it sounds like I am standing still.

I have that bluetooth unit and I also have the same phone as you...
tripp on that...
I'm also posting on the other thread for your terk install.......
and guess what I have the mute working perfectly and I can tell you how ..
as soon as I can remember which wire I tapped into.
I know it was the AMP MUTE wire from a wiring diagram i got off one of the threads...give me time...

Yeah I just tapped into the HU wiring harness. I used one of those tap connectors where you don't have to cut the main wire.

I want to meet the guy that invented those things. They are a lifesaver in a tight spot.

Can you post some specific info on what you did to get the radio to mute? I really, really want this Parrot to work. I would appreciate as much detail as you can provide. I am an idiot when it comes to an amplified system.
