added vvt-i emblem to grille V8

I got a vvt-i emblem off ebay and found a plastic bracket...used emblem adhesive to glue the bracket to the grille next to the V8...then put the emblem on the bracket :)

Like the idea. Like the new badge. Like the implementation. But don't actually like it on there. Looks a little busy IMO. But that is coming from someone that took his V8 badge off. I may put mine back after painting it black, but I haven't decided. I think it would look better somewhere else.....maybe on the back.

Way to be creative!

I thought about that, but the emblem is half-height and doenst really look out of place to me and doenst clutter it up too much (just my opinion)...i have an 05 vvti v8 and want it to be known *LOL*

You dont even notice it unless you are kinda close. At the very least it will make people say "my 4runner doesnt have that on there..." haha...I guess its just personal opinion as usual :) I kinda like it.

I will probably have a vvt-i emblem as well as a V8 emblem on the rear....i have already taken off the "Toyota" badge...4Runner is still on there tho

btw, if my 4runner was black...I probably wouldnt have added that...and probably would have taken off the V8 ;) too much chrome for the black...but looks ok on the silver :)

Yup, my thoughts exactly. That is why debadging isn't as important on a silver or white runner IMO. And why I think having "vvt-i V8 4RUNNER" on the back of yours will look great and original. Anymore badges than that and I again think it would be cluttered.

BTW, I like your new avatar.
 
I also think it looks good......I have the same emblem and I was thinking of the same application only w/o the v8 emblem with it
 
IMO, that looks great! I just got the same badge off of ebay. Where did you get the bracket to install it on the grill.
 
JRisner....I thought about that too...It looks good without the V8 emblem as well :) but since the V8 can easily be removed, I left it on for now. I guess that since my 4Runner isnt even 2 months old, I want everyone to know its a V8 *haha*


CVs4Runner, the plastic bracket was just an extra piece from an old car stereo dash kit...any "L" bracket will work...I just happened to find that in my "box-o-crap"

I have to work the weekend but sometime this week I'll have to put mine on w/o the v8 and post some pics!!:D
