Inside the cabin is a mixed bag. Easy off-the-line starts are refined and bold. Enough resonance to remind you what kind of engine the 4.7L really is. Get on it and hang on! It just takes off...screamin' all the way.
At highway speeds, can hardly hear it unless you pass someone.
I added an Alpine 300 Watt Mono Amp with an Alpine 12" Sub and enclosure to the stock low end system. With that cranked, can't hear much outside the vehicle anyway.
As far as I know, there's a marginal increase in HP. Feels like the engine breathes better, too. Can I feel the difference? Don't know...I haven't driven a 4Runner V8 without the Borlas. I had the same V8 in my 2001 Sequoia and that was pretty fast. Loose 1000lbs. with the same HPs and torgue and...see ya!
If you can get this upgrade, you won't be disappointed.

Hey b1rd0g, you must of gotten your rig at Fred Anderson. I have a black Sport with the dual Borla that I bought from Fred in May. Did you also get the re-usable aFe air filter in the box? I have seen a couple of step side Tundra's with the Borla, but yours is the first Runner, other than mine, that I have seen. It is a sweet set-up!

Yes...I also purchased from Fred Anderson. Leith Toyota had one also that looked just like yours when I purchased mine in April of this year.
Yes...I too have the Borla air filter setup. And yes...it is sweet.
Fred Anderson has a white Limited on the "reduced" price list now with the same Borla setup. I saw it last week.
