hahaha...actually its more like i'm trying to keep my mind off the fact that I sold my Supra
so i'm spoiling my new 4runner *LOL*btw, the fact that I was putting on the signal mirrors is also the reason I have the rear reflector/light mods acting as parking lights only...not as brake/blinkers as well...that would be too many things lighting up when I went to make a turn *haha*

Don't they sell generic brand ones on ebay for like $25? I'm curious how much different they'd be from the $169 ones down on that page further. The stick-on type.

I hate to dig up an old thread, but can you confirm that adding the Muth signal HEATED mirrors was plug and play? I'm not really interested in the signals themselves but REALLY want the heated mirror feature. Did you have to run any wires? Do the mirrors heat up when the rear defroster is activated?

the heated part is plug and play...the factory wires plug right in....
you do have to run wires from under the steering wheel to the mirrors if you want the LED turn signals
we dont get hardly any ice here in Georgia so I really have never needed the heated feature...never had any situation where I could even test it out *haha*
if these are cheaper than the stock toyota heated mirrors, you could just plug in the heated part and not even use the turn signals

Found these Signal Mirrors on ebay seller said to make an offer I offered $200.00 he accepted that is $69.00 less than anyone else Will repost when I receive Check it out

I think that I would consider picking up a set of these if they were available with Amber leds, to match the current turn signals. Granted, with my past work with leds, it shouldn't be hard to do, but this would be a slightly pricey experiment. Picky, picky, I know, but I also felt the same way with the rear bumper lights and went the tail/brake path (no signals).
For those who have got these and not installed them yet (or plan to get them), please post on how accessible the leds are on the back side. I'm sure the front is complely sealed, but I may be able to remove them from the back and replace them with amber leds. A picture would also be nice (hint, hint) of the mounting (back) side of the mirror.

EDIT: Update, Orange version now added for no addtional charge.
I sell these and they are no made in the RED OR ORANGE leds. I have them on sale as always.
Thers is a versoin for for 4Runners with stock heated mirrors from factory and a version for 4Runners without heated mirrors from factory
They do work well.
