Daystar 1.25"/FJ Springs/Medic Links and Sway

Well I got some new toys to put on the 4Runner this week. I got the 1.25" Daystar top out spacer for the front. I'm receiving my 2010 FJ Cruiser springs tomorrow... paid $84 shipped from member at the FJ Cruiser Forums. And I got some rear Medic end links from Toyota 120 along with some swaybar relocates. I'll be upgrading to better shocks as well later in the summer. can't wait to see the final result. same set up that i am working on putting together. got my daystars and trying to hunt down some FJ springs. i got a led on some fronts just not rears.

Gonna look good! Can you measure the thickness of the Daystar measurements, and also before/after measurements to see how much lift you end up with front/rear?
 
Well the total height of the spacer, including the smaller lip, is 1 5/8". The height of just the big part of the spacer is about 1 1/16". I'll take before and after measurements of the wheel wells.

Thanks! I'm expecting ~2.5" lift in the front, ~.5 in the rear, but we'll see. The lift gained by that Daystar spacer seems to vary, which is why I'm curious for the measurements.
 
Yeah I'm looking for about 2.5" in the front and about 1-1.5" in the rear. I just didn't want to do an "all spacer" lift. Are you thinking about the Daystar or just predicting what I should expect?
 
Well I want coilovers in the future, so I didn't get all spacers. At least I got some upgrades during this, which is why I'm installing swaybar relocates and rear endlinks with the lift, and will improve my flex... I only spent ~$240 for some easy upgrades

I wanted the Daystar, but all the inconsistancies in numbers made me finally decide to go with the Toytec spacer (gives 1" of lift). I'm happy with that. Questions are asked all the time about the lift setups, I'm just trying to gain some knowledge about this setup for future reference.
 
My only concern is that some people who use the Daystar with the FJ springs say they wish they had a little more lift in the rear, so if this is the case with mine, I'm going to put the Daystar rear spacer in too. 4wheelparts.com has all the Daystar kits for the cheapest price on the internet. I think I got my top spacer kit for $36 shipped. Go there if you want these spacers.

I'm working on this same setup, however I was a bit overzealous in my FJ spring acquisition. I now have an extra set of rear springs.

hey man i have always wanted medic links. could you show how you install em? do you have to jack up the rear or do you just simply disconnect the old ones and install the new ones? thanks! and that setup is goin to be nice when you get the new coilovers. im one step ahead of ya minus the links haha. check my sig :)
 
Yeah me and a friend that's in school for this kind of stuff.. One question. My springs seem to be around the same length so how do I distinguish between the front left and right? I have the 2010 spring so my colors are different then the answer from ARK SWAMP RIDER.. my front springs have purple/gray and purple/orange. Thanks guys

WoW !! thats very nice..

Also catches my attention is the bumper, fenders and claddings are painted.
No peel off ??

Then I can paint mine too !!
 
YEA! looks good! Thought my car looked completely different w/o the running boards on too...

But how's the ride now???
