Most people that have a use for an epi pen, carry an epi pen. I would stay away from carrying drugs that you are not qualified to administer. Epi is not a benign drug with no side effects - it can be dangerous if not used correctly.

Benadryl - fine.
Even the backcountry pain killer combo of staggering Tylenol, aspirin, and ibuprofen is fine.
