I agree with everyone else, that isn't CV grease. My best guess is your diff seals started to slowly leak. That's why you see it coming from the diff side. That most likely just happened by chance, there's not much a lift could do to cause that.

Wipe it all up and see how quickly it comes back.

Diff seals and topping up the fluid should be around a 2hr job and I'm guessing would run about $250-300 with parts and labor.
