lovin the 4R!
I've been dodging in and out of the shadows, reading and enjoying the great build threads here.
I recently received my trail edition after a 4-5 week wait. I'm in eastern canada, and the only trail edition that is available is considered the TEP I guess. Dealer threw in some new 265 BFG AT KO2's, which made me a very happy camper.
Received the vehicle with 2km on the odometer. I don't think you can get any further from where this vehicle was manufactured that where I am... that was just incredible to see. I treated the truck to some zaino, and the paint was immaculate. What a wonderful feeling.
I foster greyhounds until they are adopted, and I occasionally travel a few hours with 3-4 hounds that are fresh from the track. Space is important, and the 4R seems like an exceptional hound-hauler. Especially with that sliding back glass. Give me a break!!! I didn't even know it had that when I ordered the 4R. I also am fortunate to enjoy fly fishing for atlantic salmon in my home province, and a capable 4x4 always makes for a better trip to the lesser-travelled pools. I was lucky to challenge a washout last weekend that I wouldn't have dreamed of approaching in my old pickup.
Anyway, glad to be here, and many thanks to the generations of great posts and information about these vehicles. For some reason the 4runner has slipped past my radar over the years, but so far I am very impressed.
