Sorry ill be picking your brain for help. I am going to subscribe to your build though since you are doing about the same thing I am and its one hell of a runner. Im not totally decided yet on my trans. I want to keep it manual. Not sure if i am going to go with a chevy trans or use the toyota one. I think im going to end up using a chevy trans and transfer though. I kinda only want to have to build it once. If all i have to do is eventually go to a small block thats easy if i already have the chevy trans. I was thinking about useing an old school 4speed with the granny gear since they are solid and my runner is going to be on a trailer once i do my SAS more than likely. Im looking into doing 1ton axles.

Yeah I used a EGR block off plate and a plug for the EGR tube that goes into the intake. I had the computer reprogrammed to delete the emissions controls. The only vacuum hose was the on the solenoid going to the evap canister. I just left that solenoid on there unplugged for now. The only unresolved item I have left from the emission delete is what to do with the gas tank vent that went to the evap canister. Ive had a few ideas but haven't done anything yet. Of course, all this applies to the 96 and up engines. The TBI's are a little different but not much.
