I checked when I received them and they seemed brand new. I notice what you see in the picture though, the dark spots on the shafts; a shadow or reflection maybe? I'll check next time I'm flexed out.
Right now the ride sucks.
- I need an alignment or to lower the front coils quite a bit as any bumps on dirt roads makes it swerve.
- Also, I hear a different high pitched whine coming from the front end only when accelerating mostly above 2k rpm. Only noticeable because I've driven it a while before, but really only enough to make me nervous. Could just be I'm paranoid because I did all the wrenching.
- The CV angles seem severe enough I might just wait to drive it until the spanner wrench gets here anyway. Measurements only state 2.25" and 2.75" gained in front?
- When I pulled up to work this morning, a coworker asked how many bodies I had stuffed in the back...
So, I'll drive our Tundra until I get this issue resolved... Can't wait to get the suspension dialed in though, hopefully soon.
CV Angles:
(As you can see, I killed the XREAS the quick way
)
