Sometimes the code is not actually the cat, but the rear O2 sensor itself has gone bad. You can get them for roughly $45 on Amazon, just confirm it's the right part number (you can do it here:
Find My Part). That's if you have the P0420 code. I'd hate for you to go through all the trouble only to find out it was the sensor and not the cat.
