I currently have 265/70/17 on my TRD Pro wheels on my 3rd gen. I also have a 3" lift and experience no rubbing. Offset on the TRD pro wheels are 17x7 +4, but shouldn't be much of a difference from the original 5 star wheels at 16x7 +15, which yields a 11mm difference.

You shouldn't experience any rubbing with stock suspension with the same tire combination. 265/75/16 and 265/70/17 both measure a diameter of 31.6".
