Picked up my '08 after the headgasket blew on my 1997 SR5 (#2 gasket). I can honestly say that part of me now wants to drive the '97 off a cliff lol. The '08 is modestly elegant, even as a Limited edition, but significantly more comfortable. The V8 power is definitely something worth mentioning, it is a night and day comparison between the 3.4 of my '97 and the 4.7 of the '08. Additionally, for me anyway, I've seen a a marginal difference in fuel economy between the two (my experience anyway)... averaging 17.5 highway in the V8.
