I really do like how clean and modern the SwitchPro and sPOD makes the setup... BUT, I still can't shake my old school habits of just making my own custom DIY solution using good quality mini toggles (or any switch you like), relays, and an off the shelf fuse block from someone like Blue Sea.
From the standpoint of trouble shooting something when it counts, it makes for something substantially more serviceable. If you value being able to do it on the trail, then you would be hard pressed finding value in a logic based IC solution like the SwitchPro or sPOD.
I do think the Bussman system is pretty slick, integrating the relays into the fuse block really cleans up the wiring. I would absolutely consider this route if I had to do it again. I already had the part otherwise I would have probably went this way as it's just as easy to troubleshoot and repair issues.
There isn't much I wouldn't be able to fix with a basic meter going the old school route, I find value in that when its on a trail rig, but I can also see myself using a SwitchPro over the sPOD. I like that the system is smaller and the electronics are potted, but if the IC goes down, i'm sure the entire thing goes down.
