Received my Detours Offroad Swing-Away tire carrier. Did a quick mock installation for visuals. I agree with that there a few things that should have been re-designed better, especially how the stud bolts to mount your tire are loose. Try having to dismount/mount your 100lb wheel setup with those loose stud bolts on the trail. I'm going to tack weld the stud bolts and the tilted wheel mount before it goes to powder coating. Overall the build quality of it is good and I'm happy with it.

How did you tighten up wedge-lock? I'd need a find a really long 3/8" allen head to get it.










If you are running the Overland Equipped Rotopax ladder brackets this tire carrier will not work with the 4g Rotopax mounted.
