Yes.
Generally, P-metric tires are not part of offroad discussions and for LT metric it goes like this:
Air down offroad for:
1/ Comfort. Normally 20sh should ok.
2/ Traction. I am sure there is a thread about what psi for what conditions, it also depends on wheels, loads, etc.
3/ Prevent through-the-tread punctures like that.
As for P-metric tires, few of us do a lot of offroading on those and it is different as they are more likely to burst a sidewall when run at lower pressures. They also deflect plenty at 30-33 psi and so there is no need to air down for comfort or traction, except on deep, soft surfaces.
