5th Gen Lift Diff Drops?

Hi, so after posting many questions in other threads, I finally pulled the trigger on a 3" Bilstein Toytec lift kit. I had it installed at a mechanic that specializes in Toyotas and he did a great job.

However, I did have a question regarding the front diff drops though- He said he advises not to install them because it puts more stress on the driveshaft, and the stress on the CV boots isn't as much as people say without them installed... I just wanted to get some other opinions on this. We left them off but I still have them so I could throw it on myself no problem.

So, in short, should I install the diff drop kit for a 3" lift or is what he says about the driveshaft right and I should leave them off?

Thanks!
