My ebrake will hold my truck in neutral on an incline, but with the torque of the v8, there is no way in hell it can hold th truck at 1500-2000 rpms like they test it. The test should actually be how the “parking brake” would actually be employed, such as parking on a downgrade. I had the same issue with my v8 Explorer, even with new parts it couldn’t hold under throttle, but would actually work as intended for incline parking.

I wonder how brand new vehicles e-brake fair in those inspections or do they have to submit that part of the inspection since they're new?
