I could be wrong, maybe check out the yaw rate and deceleration sensors for the traction control system.
If it happens under hard cornering or braking you could be getting a faulty signal from one or both sensor that turns it off, default mode basically.
Seems like a logical place to start to me.
I don't think that would set an engine code, maybe someone more knowledgeable than I am could confirm or deny that. And maybe confirm or deny if my thoughts make any sense to anyone else.
A dealer should be able to check the function of the sensors, again, I would think.
